Dating apps ask for your height, your hobbies, your hopes, and your data — then show everyone the same feed anyway. Spott starts differently. It asks what you are here for: casual, dating, or both. Answer casual and you get a live grid of who’s nearby and online right now. Answer dating and you get a deck of full cards — prompts, voice intros, the works. Answer both and the two sides stay politely separated, with your dating depth hidden from casual browsers until you choose otherwise.
The rest is conviction. Every profile is verified by a human reviewer before direct messages open. Public photos — profiles and Looking Now posts — are screened before they appear; private photos, including anything sent in chat, stay private and are never scanned. Exact GPS coordinates never leave the phone; positions are rounded to a roughly 500-meter grid before anything is saved, so other users see a distance, never a location. There are no advertisements and there is no data brokerage, because the business model is an optional subscription and nothing else.
